Character Name: James "Jim" Pleiades Hawkins
Species: Terran of the Terran Empire from Montressor. AKA: Base Human
Canon: Disney's Treasure Planet
Note: I use background intel from the Disney game “Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon” which gives more names and background details to location and the world around Jim. It follows Jim in his 30’s in the Navy. This is only used for world intel however.
Canon Point: Post Movie, having helped get the Benbow Inn started on its rebuild, and just a day before shipping off to the Royal Naval Academy
Character Age: 15! Very nearly 16! He has gone to space for months, fought pirates, shot plasma guns, fought for his life, and is a daredevil. He's into adventure and has dealt with a lot of adult themed things, all things considered. He's seen death in canon, and can brave it. He has dealt with loss. I feel like this setting is pretty up there for him, and I look forward to seeing how well he handles other trauma.

Powers and Abilities: Jim is a base human male teenager with no super powers at all. He is very intelligent and seems to know his way around mechanical things and he has impressive agility skills. While he seems to be an adventure seeker and pushes gravity, he does not defy it. He's just a skilled young man who loves taking risks and has the brains to get himself and other outs of such risks.
What Did Your Character Wish For? He would have thought his wish would be for his father to come back, or at this point even just to see John Silver again, or simply for his Mom to be happy, and to be proud of him. Which is vaguely a wasted wish, as she is? His real wish would just be that he does ‘real well at the Academy and he makes something of himself’. Also a bit of a wasted wish, because he will absolutely do his best? But he's young and worried about that, so it makes sense.
What Potion Did They Receive? Cerulean Potion: Healing Magic
Did They Drink It? Not right away! He'll need someone to actually tell him what the potions are or do? Or at least learn that they are alright to actually drink and will help? But right away he is suspicious and is keeping it in the satchel. When he does drink it, because I do intend him to do so, he will pick up that simple healing magic or tending to small cuts and bruises. Maybe not for himself but just for others? He'll think it's lame, at first, when he discovers that others can turn into an animal or control fire or something and all he can do is take a small cut away? But I want him to learn to grow into it and actually assist others. I feel like HE would want to control Electric things, or be able to turn into a bird or something? So I chose Healing because it's partly the last thing he'd want but also something that actually does fit him rather well, as he'd want to help others too.

1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Most bonded with would be John Silver. Jim has some trust and father issues and is a rebellious young man who is angry at the world for his father leaving them. With Silver, he not only throws and takes the verbal punches, but he gives Jim everything he's actually craving. A father figure who is protective and caring. When Silver 'betrays' Jim he's so very hurt, because he had grown so attached to the big cyborg. In the end, he still trusts him and has a stronger bond with him, even as the cyborg leaves. Jim is sure he will see him again some day and is content with letting the old pirate go, but out of everyone, Silver is who he bonded to best.
As for who he will miss the most? Besides Silver, which is apparent, he's going to miss his Mother the most. Sarah Hawkins was really young when she had Jim, but they were always pretty close. When his father Leland Hawkins left them, Jim partly blamed his mom, and he started to grow distant. But through all of it, he really just wants her to be happy and proud of him! His canon point is that he has returned home and is helping his mom, but while here he is going to miss her a lot. He is used to spending time away from her, of course, being on the ship for months and all, but it doesn't mean she isn't missed.
As an added bonus, he’s bonded with Morph, a little bubblegum pink blob that can morph into anything. He’s basically his pet now and something he loves very much. He’ll miss him… until I can see about getting him here for him!

Being a screw up. Failing. Disappointing people he loves and trusts. So far it seems he has few physical fears, as we see him diving through crushing holes in machinery, and defying gravity as best he can. Or standing up to a Spider Psycho and not fearing being crushed. He fights pirates. He deals with a jungle. He… doesn't like being touched or hugged? But otherwise nothing seems to really scare him physically. Failing or disappointing someone on the other hand really gets him in a funk. Especially those he cares about like his mom or friends. He has abandonment issues, and being left behind or forgotten really bothers him as well. Because his father left so often, and then when he left for goot, Jim has deep issues with being left behind. Especially if it’s someone he has bonded too. Even Silver, who appeared to be leaving him after a short time of getting to know Jim, really got to the boy. Thankfully he came back a minute later and took Jim with him, but even that small interaction got to him. He tries not to get his hopes up too often.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
The need or desire to be wanted. Trying to be independent and functional on his own but also desiring someone's approval. He hates being told what to do, especially by adults, but also needs direction. Emotionally he isn't sure he's 'enough' most of the time, and it bothers him a lot. Mentally and Physically he's actually pretty good. He's smart but brash. He's agile and strong, but he's small and young so there is still a lot of room to grow. There is still a lot of room to grow, and he makes mistakes and gets upset at himself over them!
4. What would make them happiest?
Praise! Friends who get him. Adult figures who aren't trying to control his life but are still giving him stability. Heck, stability in general would make him very happy. Also just adventure and doing amazing things would make him hugely happy. He will also be very happy to have Morph here. He grew up poor but with a mother that tried very hard, so he doesn’t seem to ‘want’ for a lot even if he desires things. He knows how to build things he wants or needs from scrap and junk, so he manages to get by on small things. So his biggest ‘happy’ needs are companionship and positive role models. And adventure, of course.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Being a 15 year old male teenager, he's not got the worlds best experience with this yet, though he is getting to that stage in life where others are catching his attention. For him it would all come down to chemistry. Female or Male or Race wouldn't really come into play at all for him. Wouldn't matter, so long as the other person was smart, fun and adventurous as well. He is absolutely the type to gain a crush on someone and not realize it, especially if they were outgoing, daring, a bit wild, but also caring and kind. He is, sadly, very drawn to people who give him any form of positive attention, be it real or not. He is also very easy to hurt and betray and does not forgive too easily, depending. He has been seen to forgive though, which might tell some people he’s a bit of a sucker. He would be easy to manipulate, so long as you were nice to him and make him feel wanted. That said, so long as he feels wanted, he’ll very much be loyal to someone interested in him.
